How to send Mobile logs to Mattermost support team ( Android & iOS Applications)

Submitting Logs from the Mobile App (Android & iOS)

Collecting logs from the Mattermost mobile app can help support and system administrators diagnose issues. Here’s how to do it for both Android and iOS.

📱 Android

  1. Open the Mattermost mobile app.
  2. Navigate to Profile → Settings → Report a problem.
  3. A screen will appear displaying information useful for troubleshooting.
  4. Send the log files to your server administrator or attach them to your open Mattermost support ticket.

🍎 iOS

  1. Open the Mattermost mobile app.
  2. Navigate to Profile → Settings → Report a problem.
  3. A screen will appear showing details for support. Tap Send to submit the log.
    This will create a Mattermost support ticket on your behalf using your email address.

Note:
Due to limitations on iOS, logs can only be sent using the Apple Mail client. If you're using Outlook or Exchange, attachments may appear as 0 bytes.
If that happens, try sending the email to yourself first. You can then download the attachment and forward it using your preferred email client, or upload it directly via the browser to your support ticket.
